A couple years ago when Kelli from Pzinga contacted me to do a simple website, I was happy to meet with her and her husband to go over their ideas. It turns out that over the last couple of years they had been perfecting a pasta sauce they were hoping to make into a nice small business here in Lee’s Summit. And through our conversation, I actually learned a lot about the food business, launching a product, bottling, labeling, food testing, and everything they had been working through as they chased this dream.
Well it took us a while to get things moving (mainly because Kelli had to keep learning new things about what it takes to get your product safely and legally distributed) and finally were about to put up the simple ecommerce website.
We I had not heard from them in about a year but the other day I was at Hy-Vee in Lees Summit browsing through the pasta sauces. And that is when I got a big smile on my face…
There was Pzinga sitting in the middle of the row for the entire town to buy!
Overall I was very happy for Kelli and hope that it is in more stores around the KC area. But it also was a great way to look back and remember that a few years ago, I sat with them and they discussed their Pzinga dream. And seeing it in the store, with great packaging, I realized they were on their way.
